A bronchoscope is a device that is used for performing the most common interventional pulmonology procedure called bronchoscopy. It consists of a hollow metal tube or a thinner tube with an attached fiberoptic or video camera for transmitting the image and is commonly used during the endoscopic examination, diagnosis, and treatment of airways and tracheobronchial tree.
